We are looking to scale our Global Markets Sales capability in Strategic Equity and Commodity Solutions and help deliver value to key corporates which form part of the Privileged Client Group (PCG) in First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC.
You will work with strategic shareholder groups, family offices, financial sponsors and large corporates on structured derivatives, financing and complex hedging solutions, with expertise across Equity and/or Commodity markets.
We are seeking an individual with sufficient product depth to identify opportunities, develop relevant solution concepts and lead sophisticated client discussions, while working closely with the relevant trading desks such as Structured Solutions, Equity Derivatives and Commodities.
The candidate will be a strong team player with a proven track record of delivering Global Markets sales revenues, deepening strategic client relationships and establishing First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC as an institution of choice for strategic solutions.
This role will fall under the purview of Head of Global Market Sales (Privileged Client Group and Abu Dhabi GREs).
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Assessment: Develop a deep understanding of client portfolios, strategic holdings, commercial exposures, financing requirements and risk-management objectives to identify and originate structured opportunities.
Solution Development: Generate and develop bespoke financing, hedging, monetisation and investment solutions in partnership with FAB's Structured Solutions and relevant Equity, Commodity and other product desks.
Client Engagement: Lead the client dialogue and pitching process, articulating transaction rationale, structure, economics, risks and alternatives to senior and sophisticated clients.
Collaboration: Partner closely with GM Sales, Trading and Structuring teams to evaluate alternatives, model exposures, structure and price transactions, translating product capabilities into relevant client solutions.
Strategic Equity Solutions: Originate opportunities involving equity monetisation, hedging and financing, including concentrated strategic holdings, as well as single-stock, ETF, index and volatility-related solutions.
Strategic Commodity Solutions: Originate opportunities combining commodity risk management with structured term, trade and asset-backed financing, including situations involving production, inventory, offtake and other commodity-linked exposures.
Execution Ownership: Maintain commercial ownership of opportunities through the transaction lifecycle, coordinating client engagement, product teams, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Documentation through to execution.
Governance and Standards: Ensure strict adherence to FAB's regulatory, compliance, conduct and best-practice standards.
Product Knowledge:
Strategic Equity Solutions: Equity monetisation and financing solutions including collar financing, concentrated-shareholding hedging, equity-backed financing/repo solutions, prepaid/variable prepaid forwards, TRS-based financing and monetisation, structured disposals and other solutions combining equity derivatives with financing or liquidity generation.
Strategic Commodity Solutions: Financing and hedging solutions around related structured term or trade financing facilities with a commodity price-risk.
The candidate should also be comfortable identifying applications across indices, ETFs, volatility, bespoke baskets and other cross-asset solutions, where relevant to client financing, investment or risk-management objectives.
The candidate is not expected to independently model or price all transactions but must have sufficient technical expertise to originate credible ideas, understand the key economics and risks, engage effectively with specialist product desks, and lead the client dialogue through to execution.
Requirements:
Experience and Track Record: 10 to 15+ years of relevant financial markets experience, with significant, verifiable experience in Structured Derivatives, Strategic Equity Solutions, Structured Commodity Solutions, Structured Financing, or a closely related asset-backed field. Proven track record of originating and commercially leading sophisticated derivative and financing opportunities, working alongside Trading, Structuring, and Financing specialists through live execution.
